DIMI,
Pain
1998
UNESCO award at the MASA 1999 in Abidjan.
In
this spectacle, the four dancers empty their bodies of all the sufferings
that dwell within them. The scene becomes for them the reconciliation
place of oneself with oneself, of the ones with the others. Dialogue
with the harmonious sounds fusion of the traditional pastoral flute,
the keyboard and the low guitar, all three present on the scene.

In
an alternation of tender movements and violent one, the bodies are
driven and go in the opposition to each other. The bodies are embraced,
blaze up, cry and are comforted. The pain filters by all the pores,
present and obstinate. To be together must make it possible to these
women to make the pains bearable. Anthem with female solidarity,
"DIMI" celebrates the bringing together of the beings and wants
to be a work carrying hope thanks to dancers who can move and make
speak their body.
